Using the clone brush following the tutorial. Because I had so much trouble working with the reduced bird image that was cloned onto the dog, I decided to do my own differently. I promoted the original picture to a layer, and added a new layer for the cloned image. I cloned the image of the cat while it was still at its original size then reduced the finished clone. Moved it into position. Merged layers and proceeded to overlap the background onto the new layer. This worked much better for me.
